National Coming Out Day
In 1987, half a million people converged on Washington. Reagan was President,
and even though the country was in the middle of the Aids Crisis, he still couldn't say the
word "AIDS." The Names project was laid out on the Mall for the first time. Thousands

Leaders Should Lead

Gun Manufacturer Laws
The problem is that they are failing to win the hearts and minds of the majority of
the people. I don't actually own a gun, but I like the fact that I think that most people, well most men, agree with me on that. full article (pdf)
Crime Vs The Arts
Last week California executed its first convict in three years. By not commuting
the sentence, the Governor is sending a strong message to the prison population, the right
wing of the Republican party and the state in general that he is tough on crime. full article (pdf)
Professional Fees
Your lawyer is rich. Really rich. So rich that you really shouldn't even have to
pay him for the work he did for you, which was not all that much, and he did a bad job

Legislation
The goal of the proposition is to put an additional tax on our phone bills. It is
called a surcharge, and it is only applicable to intra-state calls. Your long distance calls
are not effected by this legislation. If passed there will be a 3% surcharge on your
residential phone bill, up to a maximum of 50 cents. full article (pdf)
